Our yoga style is Vinyasa Flow, which is a dynamic, fluid style of yoga that keeps the body moving and focuses on synchronising movement of the body with the breath.

Whether you are an experienced yogi or new to the practice, Breathe Bend Believe Yoga is all about working hard, letting go and having fun. Classes are set to some sweet beats and wobbles are always welcome never judged. So whatever your ability or understanding of yoga come and join us.

Come and spend a day exploring your relationship between strength and power, rest and relaxation. From strong and sweaty vinyasa flow and core strength classes to a gentle amble through the Albourne vineyards and restorative yoga, there is plenty to fulfil both your yin and yang energies.

 

The Yoga Sculpt Retreat days will be held at the Breathe Bend Believe Yoga Studio in the leafy Sussex village of Albourne. The house and studio is beautifully modern, with plenty of light and comfortable spaces to relax with a book or chat between classes. A delicious buffet vegetarian lunch will be provided and free water, teas and coffee will be available throughout the day.

9.30-10.45 Rise and shine dynamic vinyasa flow yoga class

11-12.00 Guided walk through the local Albourne vineyards at the foot of the south downs.

12.30-13.00 Core Strength Class

14.00-16.00 - Relaxation time - read a book, take a nap, chat and relax

16.00-17.15 Restorative slow flow and relaxation yoga class

Strive into Summer with a 3 night yoga escape.

Designed to awaken both yin and yang energies, this retreat in beautiful Devon will focus around sculpting awareness of strength and stillness in mind and body.


Staying at the historic Mill House Retreat house, this beautiful thatched farmhouse combines the atmosphere of a centuries old building with the comfort and style of a modern home.

Guests will enjoy morning and evening invigorating and restorative yoga classes with Briony. With 9 retreat spaces available, yoga sessions will allow for plenty of hands on assists and teaching attention to be paid to students throughout each class. There will also be time after each session to work on or develop specific areas of your practice with Briony should you choose. 

All meals are included on the retreat, with healthy and hearty vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner served throughout your stay (vegan available on request).

Guests can enjoy exploring the beautiful retreat grounds and many relaxation spaces; curl up with a good book, indulge in a massage or explore the scenic local countryside. Exeter is a 30 minute drive or short train journey from the retreat for guests looking for a bit more hustle bustle.

Hi, I'm Briony


A Bit About Me

After being drawn to yoga in 2011 to help minimise the physical effects of an exciting but stressful career, long daily commute, international travel and regular high intensity gym sessions, I was quickly amazed at the impact the practice had on both my body and mind. 

Vinyasa flow yoga synchronises the movement in and out of poses with the breath and this rhythmic style of moving meditation allowed my hectic mind to slow down. It became the perfect balance of exercise and mindfulness for this highly stressed, time poor, fitness obsessed individual.

At the end of 2015, I took a step back from the high flying world of corporate crisis management and enrolled in the 200hr Yogahaven teacher training course, qualifying as a Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher at the beginning of 2016.    

I currently teach yoga classes and 1-2-1 private yoga classes from my home studio in Albourne, as well as at Wickwoods Country Club and Rox Life in Hove.

I am also yoga teacher to the First and U23 teams at Premiership football team Brighton and Hove Albion FC, where I work with the players to improve strength and mobility, while using guided relaxation and breathing exercises to promote relaxation and recovery.

I have had the privilege of teaching people of all ages, sizes and professions; from NHS workers and city high fliers to models and athletes and truly love the inclusive ideology at the heart of yoga. It’s not about what you look like or how flexible you are; its about your own practice taking whatever shape it can on any given day. There is no expectation or competition, only individual exploration.

An adrenaline junkie at heart (runner, climber, gym rat), I bring enthusiasm and energy to all my classes. My teaching style is encouraging and supportive and my intention in every class is to help students develop and enjoy their own personal practise.
